The Big 4+ Sportsman's Club held their annual spring trap shoot at their clubhouse in Long Lake on Saturday, April 16, 2016. There were 2 events, a 50-Bird Lewis Class shoot and a merchandise shoot. Participants enjoyed a sunny 70 degree day with calm winds, making for a great shooting environment. There were 62 entries in the 50-Bird shoot. The shoot paid out 5 classes, with the winner of each class receiving $87.  Ties were broken by sudden-death shoot offs. The class winners were Class A Bill Simonar (Denmark), Class B Dennis Kozlowski (Two Rivers), Class C Buck Brede (Bonduel), Class D Jaden Streu (Long Lake) and Class E Paul Welhouse (Manitowoc).

There was also a consolation prize for scores under 35. Logan Behrmann (Long Lake) survived a 5-string shoot off to win $62. Lewis Class shooters could also enter for High gun, Long Run and 25 on each trap. Each option paid $74 and ties were broken by sudden-death shoot offs.  Joe Baugnet (DePere) won both 25 on Trap 1 and High Gun; Bill Simonar (Denmark) won 25 on Trap 2; and Dennis Kozlowski (Two Rivers) won Long Run with 41 straight birds.

The Big 4+ would like to thank everyone who helped make the event a success, with a special thanks to the event volunteers.
